Comically Useless – Piers Morgan Slams Erik Ten Hag After Manchester United’s Humiliating Loss

Cristiano Ronaldo’s self-proclaimed superfan & British journalist, Piers Morgan is at it again as this time he takes swipe at Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag. After Manchester United was crushed again 3-0 by Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, September 29, Morgan took to social media to express his dissatisfaction, branding Ten Hag “comically useless”

What Happened?

Manchester United had a difficult night in the Premier League clash at Old Trafford Brennan Johnson gave Tottenham an early advantage after opening scoring in the 3rd minute.

Tottenham took advantage of their numerical superiority to score twice in the second half (47′, 77′) and put the game far beyond the reach of Ten Hag’s side, as they won it by three goals.

Another Defeat For Manchester United

The loss was a third in what has been an extremely tough beginning to the season for Manchester United. The league position for the team is a dismay – just two wins from six games that lands them 12th, with an alarming -3 goal difference.

Ronaldo, who returned to United for a second spell in 2021 scored an impressive 145 goals and 64 assists in 346 games. However, a breakdown in relationship between him and Ten Hag saw him make the move to Saudi Arabia with Al-Nassr.

Morgan let rip about Ten Hag on Talk Sport following Ronaldo’s exit. “Ten Hag is a complete idiot. I’m sorry, he is. Well, ever since he went there. Which he speaks in total nonsense. Now he’s off banging on about Harry Potter or whatever,” Morgan said of Ten Hag’s bizarre press conferences.

Morgan ramped up the insult further, saying Ten Hag would not be able to handle big-name players such as Ronaldo. He said, ‘Ronaldo is the most misguided talent at United – look at his top talents – Ronaldo, who says he can’t cope with such a thing? It’s always the star players. He can handle the off-the-radar guys, but working with the stars?..”

Ronaldo was forcing loads of transfer speculation to Old Trafford when he moved back home, and his age could have emphasized the opportunity that Manchester United missed in 2003 when first Ronaldo joined the iconic club.

Morgan finished by praising Ronaldo for his exceptional talent and went on to say Manchester United looked, undoubtedly better off with a player of his calibre staying. Had he stayed at Manchester United, they would have one of the best strikers on the planet & currently better than any Striker they’ve in hand…. (Cristiano Ronaldo) That guy is the GOAT. So he will reach a thousand goals,” she says confidently.

What is certain is the growing pressure coming on Ten Hag as the specter of Ronaldo darkens Old Trafford, with the Piers Morgans of this world having their say and that not set to change.
