Ronaldo’s channel was unveiled the following day on August 21, 2024, an earthquake of a moment that subsequently saw the famed athlete reach more than 20 million subscribers in less than one full day –beating out MrBeast for becoming THE FASTEST to soar into this exclusive echelon.
But Ronaldo is not done yet. Speaking in a recent press conference before Portugal’s UEFA Nations League fixtures, the football icon outlined his lofty ambition to top MrBeast as ‘the best YouTuber on TikTok.’ Ronaldo said: ‘I have to beat MrBeast [pictured], this is my strategy behind these numbers.
My vision was simple, I wanted to communicate with my fans more closely. I think they deserve this. Credit Subscribers and records… gotta keep it in perspective, but I want to beat them against the spread.
Ronaldo is excited as he tells me his plan to one day surpass MrBeast in the most-subscribed YouTuber crown. “Time for everything,” he pointed out. “Two years for me to beat MrBeast, that’s the only time you will see.”
But while his debut was an impressive one, the reinvention of Ronaldo has proven to be a difficult task and perhaps too much for the former Manchester United forward. Currently, his channel has 56.4 million subscribers – significant but still some 257 million behind MrBeast’s at 313 million located this week).
MrBeast still stands alone as the only YouTube channel with over 300M subscribers – and T-Series remains hundreds of million subs behind him at number two. Cristiano Ronaldo still has a long way to go, but he set out on that path with a balanced attitude.
One of Ronaldo’s top videos is “FIND OUT EVERYTHING ABOUT US”, which features him and his partner Georgina playing a fun game called ‘Mr.&Mrs’ to get insights into his private life. Content like this shows Ronaldo has developed the ability to resonate with followers, and views on that scale will certainly help him get closer yet again to overtaking MrBeast.
He is now chasing to reach the top of the YouTube subscriber charts and with increasing subscribers as well as an evident strategy, it will be a thrilling race for Ronaldo.
